Alert! Something is Ahead

I am sending this full column first to paid subscribers and Founding Members. I will later send out something similar to all subscribers at some later date.

There is going to be something ahead that will be a major economic event or a series of events

I am basing this on two things: a growing list of economic realities that are not positive, and a deeper, intuitive sense of a gathering storm that, as a futurist I learned to trust from time to time.

The Obvious Stuff

-The tariffs have yet to fully affect consumers because of the TACO pattern. When they do and consumers realize the connection, they will respond accordingly

-There are no credible reports on jobs since Trump fired the former head of Labor statistics and installed a yes person. Other indicators suggest that hiring has all but stopped in the country

- The several decade-long developments of the global economy is the historically correct trend and dynamic. The fact that this trend has been thrown off-course by Trump will have some significant glitch in what the developing global economy had been. Whether this is a global recession, or some other economic hiccup remains to be seen. I would imagine that the tariffs will have a significant effect on global supply chains
